Open with at least $1,000 in new money
Fund the account with a minimum opening deposit of $1,000 from an outside bank. Money already at Valley does not count.

Every account holder must have had no Valley personal checking or savings account or CD, including Valley Direct accounts and CDs, in the year before opening. That includes Valley All Access Checking.
- Valley Direct is Valley National Bank's online-only savings brand. You must be 18 or older and a U.S. resident, with a Social Security number, a valid ID, and a U.S. bank account you can sign in to online for the opening deposit.
- The $1,000 opening deposit must be new money: funds from an outside bank that are not already at Valley.
- Personal accounts only. Valley Direct does not open accounts for businesses or trusts.
