Open FirstView Checking with $50
Open a new FirstView Checking account between August 3 and September 25, 2026. The account needs a $50 minimum opening deposit, and that money has to come from a bank other than First Horizon or its affiliates.
Receive $2,000 in direct deposits
Receive qualifying direct deposits totaling at least $2,000 within 90 days of opening. Only recurring electronic deposits of payroll, pension or Social Security count. Zelle, other person-to-person payments, bank transfers and internet payment services do not.
Keep the account open 90 days
The checking account has to stay open for a minimum of 90 days, and it must be open, active and carrying a positive balance when the bonus is paid.
First Horizon deposits the $450 within 15 business days after the qualifying activities are met, so expect it a bit under four months after you open.
Account Details
The terms require the checking account to stay open for at least 90 days, and the bonus only pays to an open account with a positive balance.
Eligibility
You must not have held a First Horizon consumer checking account in the last 24 months. The bank tightened this from 18 to 24 months for the current cycle.
- The bank's own rule is that you must reside in a state where a First Horizon banking center is present, rather than a published state list.
- Coverage inside a listed state can be partial. Aggregators report that only far-southwest Virginia qualifies and that New York City ZIP codes are often rejected, so check your ZIP in the application before counting on it.
- Your opening deposit has to be new money from a bank other than First Horizon or its affiliates.
Tips & Gotchas
- →This is FirstView Checking, not TotalView. First Horizon sells three consumer checking accounts and only FirstView carries the $450 bonus, so pick the right one in the application.
- →The eligibility window moved from 18 months to 24 months for this cycle. If you had a First Horizon checking account in the last two years, you do not qualify.
- →Your opening deposit has to be new money from another bank. Moving funds you already hold at First Horizon will not satisfy it.
- →The bank does not publish a state list. Its rule is that you must live in a state with a First Horizon banking center, and coverage inside a state can be partial, so confirm your ZIP works in the application first.
- →There is a separate $250 savings bonus, but it needs $3,000 in new money held at or above $3,000 for 90 days. That is a balance hold, not a deposit requirement, so treat it as an add-on rather than part of the $450.
- →Paper statements cost $2 a month. Enroll in eStatements to keep the account free.

Does Zelle Count as Direct Deposit for Bank Bonuses?
Usually no. At most banks a Zelle payment arrives coded as peer-to-peer and will not trigger the bonus. Citi is the clear exception. Its Enhanced Direct Deposit terms name Zelle as a qualifying deposit, and every Zelle report we have from Citi got paid.
