Open Premier or Bulldog Checking
Open a new REV Premier Checking or Bulldog Checking account. You must be 18+, a North or South Carolina resident, and not have had an open REV checking account in the last 12 months.
$500+ direct deposit in 60 days
Receive qualifying direct deposits totaling $500 or more within 60 days of opening. A qualifying deposit is a recurring paycheck, pension or other regular monthly income such as Social Security. Personal transfers and branch, online or ATM deposits do not count.
$500 debit card spend in 60 days
Make at least $500 in total debit card transactions within 60 days of opening. The terms add "and monthly thereafter".
Enroll in eStatements
Enroll the account in eStatements.
REV pays the bonus within 180 days of qualifying into the new checking account, and it stays frozen until the account is 6 months old.
Account Details
- The $5 monthly fee is waived in any month with at least $500 in electronic deposits AND at least $500 in debit or REV credit card purchases. The same activity earns the higher checking APY.
The bonus is deposited but held (frozen) until the account is 6 months old.

Tips & Gotchas
- →The bonus is frozen until the account is 6 months old, so plan to keep it open at least that long.
- →The terms ask for $500 in debit card spending within 60 days "and monthly thereafter". Hitting $500 in deposits and $500 in spending each month also avoids the $5 monthly fee and earns the 4.00% APY on up to $10,000.
- →Transfers from another bank or P2P apps do not count as the direct deposit.
