Account Details
- Easy Checking has no minimum balance requirement. The $2 monthly paper statement fee is waived when you enroll in eStatements.
Eligibility
Not for existing GBC Bank checking customers, or anyone whose GBC account was closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance in the last 3 years.
- The offer disclosure states no residency requirement and the bank takes applications online. GBC Bank (Greenfield Banking Company) is a central Indiana bank, so the online application may not accept applicants from outside its area.
- Only one new checking account opening bonus every two years.
Tips & Gotchas
- →The direct deposit has to land in three consecutive statement cycles, not just total $900. Start it right after opening so all three cycles fall inside the 90 days.
- →Enroll in eStatements to avoid the $2 monthly paper statement fee.
- →The bonus is reported as interest on a 1099-INT.
- →The offer terms name no state restriction, but GBC Bank is a central Indiana bank. Confirm the application accepts your address before you plan on the bonus.
