Open Access Checking
Open a new BOK Financial Access Checking account with a Colorado primary address. There is no minimum opening deposit on the online application.
Deposit $3,000 in direct deposits
Receive at least $3,000 in aggregate direct deposits within the first 90 days. The total accumulates across the whole window rather than needing one large deposit. Person-to-person payments such as Zelle and bank-to-bank transfers do not count.
Turn on online statements
Switch to online-only statements in online or mobile banking. This is not a bonus requirement, but leaving paper statements on adds a $3 monthly fee that eats into the payout.
BOK Financial evaluates the account 90 days after opening and credits the bonus within the following 30 days, so expect it about four months out.
Account Details
- Sign up for online statements. Choosing paper statements adds a $3 monthly statement fee.
The account is reviewed at day 90 and the bonus is credited within the following 30 days, and it has to be open and in good standing when that happens.
Eligibility
You cannot be listed as a primary or secondary accountholder on any existing BOK Financial checking account, and you cannot have closed one in the past 180 days.
- Your primary address on the account must be in Colorado.
- Limit one bonus per customer.
- BOK Financial is the Colorado brand of BOKF, National Association, which trades as Bank of Oklahoma, Bank of Texas and Bank of Albuquerque in other states. This promotion is Colorado only.
Tips & Gotchas
- →The $3,000 is aggregate across 90 days, not a single deposit. About $1,000 a month clears it, which one ordinary paycheck cycle usually covers.
- →Your primary address on the account has to be in Colorado. This is the Colorado brand of BOKF, and the same charter operates as Bank of Oklahoma, Bank of Texas and Bank of Albuquerque elsewhere without this offer.
- →Zelle and transfers from your other banks do not count as direct deposits.
- →Turn on online statements right away. Paper statements cost $3 a month.
- →BOK advertises up to $650 and some sites headline $950. Those numbers add a savings bonus needing $10,000 parked for 90 days and a Premier tier with a relationship-balance fee gate, neither of which is part of this $450.
- →There is no promo code, no debit card spending requirement and no minimum balance.

Does Zelle Count as Direct Deposit for Bank Bonuses?
Usually no. At most banks a Zelle payment arrives coded as peer-to-peer and will not trigger the bonus. Citi is the clear exception. Its Enhanced Direct Deposit terms name Zelle as a qualifying deposit, and every Zelle report we have from Citi got paid.
What is a hold period?
The minimum time you must keep your balance in an account before the bonus is paid out.
